Rumors are Skype is almost ready to launch that iPhone version, perhaps as soon as early April. CTIA Wireless, a large mobile industry trade event, kicks off in Las Vegas next Wednesday, so perhaps the announcement will be made there. No more details are available for now, and I will keep an eye on it.
As I know, IM service on Apple Store has now been downloaded more than 405 million times. The biggest clue about Skype’s pending iPhone launch came when iSkoot decided to move on from its Skype-centric strategy. The company had been offering a client that allowed cell phone users to use Skype services. Skype already offers a Windows Mobile version of its client.
Before that, Skype has already reached an agreement with Nokia to preinstall its client on Nokia phones.
However, it is close to April 1st, hope it is not another joke !

Wow, great blog. I love reading blogs about Voice over IP! It’s such an exciting technology. I have learned a lot in implementing a small VoIP network at home, and am thinking of starting VoIP business in my area. There are a number of small businesses in my region that would benefit from it greatly. Thanks again for this blog – it is really great.
