AT&T to Attract New iPhone Users with Lower Price

In order to lure more iPhone users and extend the contraction with Apple, AT&T is going to offer a lower price plan for iPhone users. Additionally, another reason for this plan is the cost of producing iPhones has decreased by nearly a third as the cost of producing touchscreens. The iPhone data package price will be cut down from $30 to $20.

This time, however, instead of just a price drop, it’s suggested there could be the introduction of a new, limited data option. $99 and pre-paid iPhones are introduced in for good measure. The maximum lowering price will be $100 since Apple has prepared for this idea for a long time to grab the smartphone market as large as possible.

The plan has caused great pressure on RIM’s BlackBerry and Palm’s upcoming Pre. Other smartphone companies are searching for good measures to keep up with AT&T. It is predicted that AT&T will become the winner of owning most of mobile phone users in US.
