Sometimes having a phone that does everything can be a hassle. Knowing what you can do when things go wrong can save you a trip to Apple and At&t.
1. When the phone is displaying the USB cord and the itunes sign after activation you may have a small problem. First try holding the home key and your power key at the same time. Wait for the phone to power off on it’s own. Power it back on, if your home screen does not appear.
2. Try plugging it into itunes on your computer. There may be an error that says your phone can not be recognized. Unplug the phone from cord, hold the home key and plug the cord back into the phone while still holding the home key. Continue to hold until itunes on the computer asks if you would like to restore this phone. This may take awhile, pay close attention to the phone and the computer so you will know when restoring is complete Click restore and the phone will be reset to default settings.
3. You may lose your pictures, music, and if your contacts are not saved to your SIM card, you may lose those as well. If they are saved to the sim you would go into settings-mail,contacts,calendars-scroll down to Import SIM Contacts. Tap it and your contacts will be back in the address book.
